How should I prepare for my lip blush appointment?

Exfoliate your lips gently 1-2 days before the procedure to remove any dry patches.

  • Stay hydrated and avoid caffeine or alcohol 24 hours prior.

  • Avoid lip fillers and laser at least 4 weeks before the procedure.

  • If you have a history of cold sores, take antiviral medication (like Acyclovir) 5 days prior to prevent an outbreak. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.

What aftercare is required?

Keep lips moisturised with the balm provided.

  • Avoid spicy foods, sun exposure, and picking at any peeling skin.

  • Avoid makeup or lip products (except healing balm) for at least a week.

  • Stay away from pools, saunas, and heavy sweating for 7-10 days.

  • No sunbeds or sun exposure for 2 weeks, wear SPF lip balm after this time frame.

What should I expect during healing?

Days 1-2: Lips look dark and slightly swollen.

  • Days 3-5: Dryness and mild flaking can be expected

  • Days 6-10: Lips appear lighter than expected (color will bloom back).

  • Weeks 4-6: Full color settles in.
